JOEY TESTA, GETTING RELEASED, BUT WILL NOT RETURN TO NEW YORK.
On social media and online circles, you seem to get two very different perspectives on the release of the Gemini Twins. Some believe they have served their time, and deserve a chance. The other side of the fence thinks they should still be in prison without any peak at daylight. The reality is, whatever your religious beliefs, your personal beliefs, or where your moral barometers sit, the reality is, they did their time. The finished what was required of them under the law. For a lot of mob content creators, you kind of get this backlash from society talking about them getting out, as if we somehow snuck in the key and let them out ourselves. Some of us, simply report the facts, yet become the smear board for lunatics and morality judges.
I myself, must admit I was stunned when Anthony got out, because I knew Anthony a little bit back in the 90's, and worked with someone on his case. I never thought the day would come, and at almost 70 years old I cannot imagine it's going to be the easiest transition, but guys like Anthony are quick on their feet, and I am sure, he will be just fine. When many are retired or getting ready to retire, he's starting his life over. For Joey, many thought he would come back to New York, and the twins would be seen together. This is where the public, just doesn't understand the laws. They cannot be together, they cannot associate. Both will be on lifetime parole, which means, they cannot associate. It means, despite many online thinking they will run back to the arms of the mafia, are totally wrong. Anthony cannot be around anyone associated. It means at any point, during his release, and for the rest of his life, he cannot associate with felons or known mob members. If he is caught doing so, he can have his parole revoked, and heads right back to prison. Sure, there are ways to work around the system, as we all know, but considering his crimes and what the government alleged, he will be watched closely.
As for Joey, he will not be returning to New York. He will be heading to Las Vegas, Nevada, to reside with his wife. I'm not specifically inclined to know exactly how that works, but logically when you get released or coming to a point where your release is coming, you have to provide an address as to where you will be living. It's to ensure after your halfway house sentence, that you have a place to go. I logically assume Joey's wife was already living in Vegas, and had established herself there, which is likely why he chose there to go. So, it won't be a New York return for Testa, who didn't age well in prison at all, and has multiple health issues. Senter, of the two, seems like he didn't age a day in the joint. For Testa, it's probably the right decision to just stay away from New York all together. Nothing good comes from old haunts.
