YAKUZA BOSS, TAKESHI EBISAWA, JAILED IN BROOKLYN FOR ARMS TRAFFICKING.

Yakuza mafia boss Takeshi Ebisawa, 60, is cooling his heels in Brooklyn MCC.  He has officially been charged with what authorities are calling nuclear materials.  According to the police, Ebisawa, is the head of a Yakuza family with operations in the  United States, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar, Thailand.

Ebisawa, was caught by undercover agents in the justice department in Thailand where they handed over samples of "nuclear materials," to agents of the DEA.  That undercover agent was playing a role as a weapons trafficker backed by Iranian generals.  The samples that Ebisawa handed over, which came from Myanmar, contained both uranium and weapons grade plutonium.  Ebisawa as well wanted to acquire weapons for a real group based in Myanmar, including surface to air missiles, assault weapons, sniper rifles, machine guns, rockets of different calibre's, and tactical gear.

In February of 2020, Ebisawa had reached out to the agents at the DEA to sell nuclear materials at cost. With the DEA pushing for more evidence, Ebisawa doubled down through encrypted texts and emails the name of a mining company who could acquire 50 tons of uranium for $6.5 million dollars.  To ensure that the uranium was legit, the undercover agents requested photos of the material with a geiger counter next to it to prove that it was in fact radioactive.

It wasn't long after that, that Ebisawa was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit international trafficking of a nuclear materials, narcotics trafficking and importation conspiracy,  conspiracy to acquire, transfer and possess anti-aircraft missiles, and a dozen or so counts of money laundering.  His partner in this venture Somphop Singhasiri, 61, are being arraigned this morning in federal court.  Prior to this both men were hit with weapons charges back in 2022.  Both are facing life in prison without parole if convicted.  Who said the mob was dead?
