JOHN "JR" RUBEO CAUGHT LYING ON SOCIAL MEDIA, JUDGE SEEKS TO REVOKE COOPERATION DEAL

In a twist, which shouldn't surprise anyone, former Genovese associate  John Rubeo, has been hauled back into court to see Judge Sullivan who presided over the Joey Merlino trial.  In case your not familiar with what I am discussing, let's get down to basics.   Rubeo, who largely was a failed cooperating witness, appeared on a recent podcast, which I won't name, where he admittedly "framed" another defendant in the dubbed "East Coast LCN Enterprise,"case.

Rubeo not only repeatedly lied on the stand, but also was caught on phone calls recorded from prison, levying allegations against the FBI and their alleged "complicity," in helping him break the law, and going without supervision for 94 of 119 some days, or something close to that.  Not only, did Rubeo lie on the stand and get repeatedly caught in those lies, but two agents from the FBI were suspended over the actions of Rubeo while he was out and about trying to "frame" everyone.

On the recent podcast, not only did say that, he had the "permission of his parole officer, " which was a blatant lie, but he also is consorting with known felons, and gambling, which is against his cooperation agreement.  From what I have been told, Judge Sullivan recieved a letter, in which the contents contained likely a massive complaint about Rubeo, breaking his agreement with the feds.  What makes this even more repulsive, is that the feds knew this was going on, and didn't violate him.  It took Judge Sullivan to see it, the contents, and podcast for him to question Rubeo's attorney as to why a cooperator was participating on a mob genre show, why he was saying he "framed," someone, why he was gambling, and why he was consorting with known felons, each of those things directly against his cooperation agreement.

Rubeo didn't do any time for his crimes, as Sullivan noted in his pacer paperwork.  The government gave him complete absolution for his crimes, in turn for testifying against dozens, and now it appears, Rubeo is in hot water with the Judge.   Not only has Rubeo broken his agreement, but he also has been threating people all over social media, then retracted those public posts which Sullivan has seen, with Rubeo claiming he was "back to his old ways."

In either case, Rubeo violated every single agreement he made, and if there is any justice here, he will go to prison.  The bigger question is, why didn't the federal government go after Rubeo?  Why did it take the presiding judge overseeing the case to get upset?  That's a large part of the government misconduct that we talk about on this blog and our show.  At some point the government has to come with terms on how they deal with noted lying cooperators.  They are so hell bent on getting conviction rates at any cost, that they fail to adhere to what true justice is.  This should complicate any convictions that the government was able to attain, but as Judge Sullivan noted, people who plead out and admitted guilt, by their own words, are really in a position where they don't have much they can complain about, but I would argue that if Rubeo is a known liar, as it has been noted publicly, and on that podcast, then any conviction contained in the East Coast Enterprise case should be looked at seriously.  If the person confirming the evidence and information and testifying is proven to be a habitual liar, then the flood gates should open.  The only justice in this case, is Rubeo going to prison, where prison justice can handle him.  His own mouth, got him here, and it is what it is.
