FAMILIES OF THE "MAFIA" BOMBS, AND IT'S EPIC

Most times, when cable companies premier a show, that's usually when they get their highest ratings. They spend weeks promoting in hopes to grab the viewer on night one, and they hope ultimately to sustain eyes long enough to keep the momentum going. Well, in the case of "Families Of The Mafia," it bombed from week one. The ratings for week one, were around .22, which isn't a bad number believe it or not, for MTV. 464,000 people watched the pilot episode. Also not a bad number for MTV. You notice I say MTV. If you take a look at the top 50 shows on television the lower brackets are around .19, .22 and so on. That .22 puts them right around 49-50 of the top 50 shows on television cable wise. It means they beat out CONAN the first night by .1% which doesn't say a whole lot. Week two however, it was even worse, and they didn't even register on the scale of the top 50 shows. It means nobody watched. The Jersey Shore beat the crap out of them twice, which amazingly is hilarious to me, coming in 6th on the top 50. Swamp People for christsakes beat them out and badly.
Swamp People was at number 19, with a .30 rating. SWAMP PEOPLE!!! How awful does your show have to be, when a show entitled SWAMP PEOPLE, kick the everlasting shit out of you on cable? It's a sign of a few things. The problem is, even people locked inside during a pandemic don't want to watch the shit the Gravano's are trying to sell.

Karen Gravano has nothing to offer you. Take away her father, what are you left with? What life lessons can young girls take from her? I'm asking a legitimate question. She has never earned anything in her life that didn't have a backdrop of who her father was. She has lived in fantasy land and dragged herself on coattails her entire life, and while some may say it's not a fair accusation, I beg to differ. As I have said before, I would gladly indulge her "informant excuses," if she even half way pretended to care about what her father did, the victims he carries, or the victims they refuse to mention and for good reason. That's the issue. Take away her fathers infamous past, and what do you have? What talent exudes her past that? Nothing, and that's exactly why the show has amounted to nothing.
