PUTTING MERLINO WITH TUCCIO IS PRETTY SAD, EVEN FOR SEASONED JOURNALISTS
Joseph Merlino is a lot of things, depending on what you want to
digest. I don't think anyone is going to convince the government that Joey is a simple guy, whose just very misunderstood. The feds have been taking cracks at Merlino for over two decades now, and it seems like they aren't getting tired of the innuendo and gossip.
We have to step back for a second, to rehash a few things. We know the last trial ended with a Merlino win. One could argue it wasn't a win after Joey was sentenced to almost two years after reluctantly pleading guilty to gambling charges, but considering the other charges against him, it's a win no matter how you toss the dice. I myself was at the trial, and when I tell you the Government had nothing, that's exactly what I mean. I've stated before, I've seen awful witnesses in my life, but JR Rubeo was perhaps one of the most jaded, and one of the most unbelievable witnesses I've ever seen. So awful, that he took to social media to attack me non stop in a barrage of messages, because he couldn't handle the fact that he failed on every level to attain a worthwhile conviction.
Joey has since been released and is finishing up his time in a halfway house in Florida. It hasn't stopped the media or the Government from trying to obtain information about Merlino, or at least that's what two of the biggest gossip whores in South Philadelphia want you to believe. Enter Pete Tuccio. If you don't know who he is, there are a trove of now printed articles trying to associate he and Merlino. While I certainly cannot explain the friendship, nor would I try, the fact is Tuccio was indicted for a slew of crimes back here in New York. Extortion, Arson, Arson Conspiracy, using fire to commit a felony, Extortion Conspiracy, and just this week more charged based on the Government's assertion that Tuccio and others torched a car in an effort to collect an outstanding debt, which they had tried earlier collecting by chasing down someone who owed. In total Tuccio is looking at 15 years in federal prison and at 25 years old, that's a huge amount of time.
The gray area here, is the assertion that people are beginning to make. They tongue in cheek this friendship as something a lot more than it actually is. They take one set of alleged crimes in New York and try to spin it into some sort of partnership or some sort of inca-hoots between Merlino and Tuccio. I cannot say they didn't know each other as social media outlets have posted photos of Tuccio and Merlino all over the place.
Secondary to that, is why anyone would post photos of themselves like that. It brings heat, and adds unnecessary drama when there doesn't need to be any, especially when a friendship or a hello and goodbye is all it really was. If we go on the notion, which half these forked tongued journalists are doing, that a photo represents some sort of truth or some sort of business partnership, then a lot of us are going to prison for a long time. A photo doesn't prove a partnership, it doesn't even prove a friendship. It's a photo. Nothing more, nothing less. Did I see Pete at the trial? Yes. Was he there every single day? No. That's the one thing the outlets have incorrectly reported non stop. One has nothing to do with the other, and these two vultures down in South Philadelphia have nothing else to discuss of relevance so they have attempted to now castigate Tuccio in some sort of "he's young can't do the time, feds fishing for Merlino info," which is an absolute flat out lie, and secondly is a leap at best. There is zero factual evidence to support any of that, and frankly it's repulsive.
"Those two goofs will say anything to talk about Joey, it's how they've always been. If a 7-11 gets robbed and Joey is two states away, these two will try and use his name to get a headline out. I line my cat box with their articles. Besides, Anastasia loves the rats, he's made a living off hanging out with them, and the other one is a bottom feeding, half a fuckin stalker. They make money making shit up, sourcing their fucking information from wannabees, and if it's not coming from them, it's from the fucking FEDS, and we all know how honest they are. They act like Joey is some fuckin arch criminal, meanwhile this is where our money is going? How many gang murders we got in Philly, how bout the fucking junkies we got on every fucking corner? You'd think those piles of shit would report on that instead of acting like fucking Jan Brady, JOEY JOEY JOEY." -an unnamed person yelled on the other end of the phone.
The truth is, gossip journalists can make wild assertions, but it's simply that. Not based on
factual information, rather based on trying to grab a headline. It's bad enough these two from Philadelphia can't ever get a New York story right without taking it from Jerry Capeci. In this case, they are trying to make something malicious when it isn't. For five plus years they have been telling anyone who will listen that this is coming, that is coming, and nothing does. They couldn't even break the Anthony Persiano story which I did some four months before they even touched it, then they didn't even get that exactly right. This new situation, which they want to make a situation doesn't exist. It's two different people, two different states, and different situations. The correlation between the two is simple. There isn't.
Every mafia groupie site has jumped on this like it's factual. They took the info from those two goofs down in Philly, and it's a shame that people are more interested in a headline, then the actual truth of the matter. No matter how hard you try and draw a line between the two points you can't. Joey has zero to do with whatever problems Tuccio finds himself in, and the fact that people are taking a very lopsided borderline laughable idea and trying to make it some sort of conspiracy is hilarious to me, but more importantly they take no consideration for Tuccio. They want to leave gaps in information, in an effort to make it appear a certain way, and just like I'd say it's not fair to Joey, it's also not fair to Tuccio either. Assertions will always be that, until they are proven. A shame these sites and those two gremlins just can't report the full facts, but then again, look who I'm talking about.
