ZOTTOLA DRAMA IS PRETTY VILE

Sylvester "Sally Daz" Zottola
$200,000 dollars got it done.   When the news first hit a few months ago about the attempted hit on Salvatore Zottola, the media went wild.  Not long after Slyvester Zottola got whacked in a brazen hit at a McDonald's drive thru.   From the outside looking in, I  knew early on this was a very inside job.  News reports would leak out a little information that this was NOT the first attempt at  ending Sylvester Zottola's life.

All appearances made this look like some sort of mob hit, but as  I said all along I felt there was more at play here then met the eyes.  Rumors being what they are, Albanians were mentioned, fringe mob groups were mentioned.  The general consensus of the people I did talk to, we all agreed on one thing.  This was a move to take over the lucrative joker poker machine routes.  Nobody would just continue to go after them for no reason.

Soon after the hit, it began to surface that the Bloods street gang was behind it.  Many were arrested, and an informant came out of the shadows almost immediately.  What I didn't know, what nobody knew, was that Slyvesters son, Salvatore's brother Anthony Zottola was behind the whole entire vile incident.   Anthony Zottola, 41, paid $200,000 to have his father and brother whacked.   The indictment which has been released is pretty vulgar, and I say that for many reasons.  Bushawn Shelton, all along was considered the guy behind the grisly murder. What we didn't know then, was that Anthony hired Shelton, who subcontracted the hit to other members of the Bloods.
According to the indictment Anthony began plotting the murders a year before they actually took place.  Anthony has been charged with murder for hire, conspiracy, unlawful use of a firearm, and using a firearm in the commission of comitting a crime.

The indictment also alleges that Anthony Zottola, sent Shelton a series of text messages, with a poor man's coded dialouge to keep the plot in full swing.  They would use movie style codes, and in one brazen conversation on Nov. 26 2017, just a short time after Sylvester Zottola escaped a hit when his car was forced off the road by a dark van and a man in a mask got out and aimed a gun at him.   Later the FEDS would find the van, collect DNA samples which would lead them right back to Shelton.
In one message, Shelton stated: "The star stormed off the set and I think it spooked him."  In response Anthony responded "that's why we need to get the final scene before the star doesn't come back. I need this bad because I cannot see the film taking a twist."

The texts go on a  lot further with both discussing the problem of not killing them, and not letting this get away from them, essentially.    The feds have alleged that Anthony wanted control over his fathers gambling empire, as we orginally stated back when this happened.  The sad thing, is that Anthony was already independently wealthy, and had a million dollar home on Long Island.
The FEDS still allege that Zottola had issues with the Albanians especially after Vinnie Basciano went away.  As a result it's alleged that Zottola began reporting to Bonanno boss Joe Cammarano.  Both Salvatore and Anthony were not employed nor were they mob associates or members.  In fact they were both living off the fathers wealth.

When Anthony was arraigned with others including: Jason Cummings, Alfred Lopez, Julian Snipe have all plead not guilty.   In perhaps a strange set of cicumstances, Salvatore Zottola was in attendance at the hearing.  Why?  I have no idea.    Anthony Zottola will be likely facing the death penalty, and I'm sure we will see more people rolling over as this moves ahead.
It doesn't make sense, on any level.  None of this does.
