PAUL WEADICK, PATRIARCA FAMILY ASSOCIATE, ALLEGED TO HAVE KILLED BULGER
Breaking...
Paul Weadick, who is known in organized crime circles in New England, specifically friends with Frank "Cadillac" Salemme, and also a noted associate of the Patriarca Crime Family, is allegedly responsible for the murder of Whitey Bulger. It's also worth noting Weadick is incarcerated at Hazelton.
Bulger's demise this morning wasn't pretty. Bulger was wheeled by three inmates to a corner in the Hazelton prison where he was repeatedly slocked, followed by the inmates attempted to gouge his eyes out with a shiv. Bulger was found unresponsive with huge gaping wounds and dents in his skull. Those on scene attempted CPR, and failed to revive Bulger.
Weadick who is serving a mandatory life sentence for his role in the slaying of nightclub owner Steven DiSarro back in June at a trial in which Frank Salemme was also convicted. According to trial transcripts it was Weadick who stood and held DiSarro's feet while Salemme's son strangled DiSarro to death.
The origin of the beef was over a club DiSarro owned called The Channel. Both Salemme Sr and Francis Jr owned a financial stake in the club. As the federal heat on Salemme was growing, the FBI approached DiSarro about becoming a cooperating witness. Salemme found out and had DiSarro murdered immediately on May 10, 1993. After the murder DiSarro's body was transported to Providence, Rhode Island where he was buried behind an old mill.
In 1995, Salemme was indicted on federal racketeering charges, and was ultimately convicted of those charges in 1999. He was then convicted of obstruction of justice for lying about the murder of DiSarro. Salemme, himself would become a cooperator.
It was Stephen "the riflemen" Flemmi who gave up Salemme and Weadick, but it's believed the information came orginaly from none other than James "Whitey" Bulger who was very close to Steve Flemmi. Both Weadick and Salemme blamed Flemmi for lying on the stand and accusing them of a murder that Flemmi and Bulger likely committed. One almost has to assume that could be accurate assuming that Weadick who is serving a life sentence himself blamed Bulger. Weadick himself has never ever testified against anyone in his life. It wasn't until Salemme found out that Flemmi and Bulger were informants that he too himself became a cooperator.
Freddy Geas Longtime mafia hitman, has officially admired his part in the runout of Whitey Bulger.
