SUSPECT ARRESTED IN ANGELO MUSITANO HIT

Canadian police have announced today that a suspect has been arrest in the 2017 hit of Mustiano crime family boss Angelo Musitano, and vet tech Mila Barberi. RCMP Hamilton-Niagra Detachment have been conducting a joint force investigation of the two m
urders since January.

Mila Barberi was gunned down in broad daylight on March 14, 2017 as she sat in a car parked adjacent to a business on Caster Avenue off highway 7 and Weston road. Barberi's boyfriend Servarrio Serano was also shot twice in the attack but survived.

According to the Hamilton police, Barberi was not the intended target, but her boyfriend Serano was. Serano's father is well known to be connected to organized crime figures.  Musitano was shot to death outside his home while sitting in his truck on May 2, 2017.

The investigation nicknamed "Project Scopa," sought 150 warrants and conducted dozens of searches early in 2018. Sixteen detectives were working the case full time.  The suspects responsible for the double homicide started planning the executions in late 2016. The suspects used surveillance techniques, which the RCMP calls "complex." The hit also employed  other accomplices to spy on the victims and their families.

In May of  2017, two months after Barberi was killed and shortly after Musitano was killed a susoect in the killings identified as Michael Graham Cudmore, flew to Cancun, Mexico to join an associate of his named Daniel Rainieri.

On January 27th four days after the RCMP stated that both murders were connected, another of three suspected men involved, Daniel Mario Tomassetti, flew to Cancun where he did not return as planned.

In March, Rainieri's body was found in a ditch in Cancun, Mexico.  Rainieri had been reported as a missing person.  A 3rd suspect, identified as Jabril Hassan Abadalla, 27, did not flee the country as was arrested at his home Wednesday,

He and the other two men are wanted for two counts of murder, and three counts of conspiracy to commit murder. Police are currently talking to Interpol and Mexican authorities to try and apprehend Tomassetti and Cudmore.

According to law enforcement, these individual didn't act on their own, but rather as a part of a larger issue at hand.  There apparently is a fracture between two factions of the mafia in Toronto and the GTA.  With arsons and murders and bombings, there appears now more than ever a power struggle taking place in Canada.

The probe is extending to the recent murder of Al Iavarrone, with Iavarrone knowing two of the men wanted in the aforementioned homicides. It's also been stated that Iavarrone knew Musitano very well, and also one of the alleged shooters very well, so the parallel being drawn is that somehow Iavarrone had a connection to the murder of Musitano, which might explain the retaliation against Iavarrone.
