LEAVE GENE GOTTI THE F*CK ALONE
None of what I'm seeing shocks me whatsoever. The one thing I was hoping for, not just for the Gotti family, but for 
Gene and his family was that the press would just leave him alone. For those that are familiar,
Gene just finished a 29-year stretch for an alleged multimillion dollar heroin ring back in 1989. He could have easily plead out to a seven year stretch, but that wasn't an option for Gene at the time. Old school guys just didn't take pleas. They didn't admit guilt in any fashion or form.
If anything we can say, that he stayed true to the code, and never spoke about anyone, took responsibility for whatever was levied against him and did his time like a man. What been produced by all these news outlets and hack newspapers and sites, is just revolting.
For the New York Post to put out an article entitled "Gene Gotti's release from prison has mob on edge." Seriously? For starters the NY POST has always used Gotti as a money maker. Gotti sells headlines, always has, always will. To further my point, this is also the same vile group who reported a love child sired by John Gotti Sr. Facts are often left out of the reporting. Not only is the majority of the things they print lies, I can prove two instances of it.
A. At the Merlino trial, the NY POST beat jerks were there. They wrote after a day at trial that when JR Rubeo let it out that Merlino had an affair with an insurance rep, "Gasps could be heard, and his crew of goons were enraged." I guess count me in as one of the goons. I was sitting with these "goons" Not only did that not happen, but nobody uttered a word.
B. When the NY POST did an article about myself and Angel Gotti and were handed all the facts, they still wrote it up like some steamy, pornographic thing. The truth was none of what was alleged happened, but they had direct facts, proven facts, and didn't write an ounce of fact. Saying I was in hiding was the most laughable fucking line of the whole thing. They wanted the lie to look "possibly true." We even sent the author of the article a nasty gram because she really wrote false "facts." The author edited, and we got a cleaner version, but still freakin lies.
Steamy gossip is what they want, and they have once again made a mountain out of a mole hill. Look, Gene Gotti has done his time, he's 71, and deserves to just relax at home without the press vultures sneaking pictures of him like the stalkers they are. For them to even print a headline like that is absolute egregious and absurd. Maybe some of these writers should take a few organized crime classes, then maybe they will get something right.
Do any of you think after being gone 29 years the first thing Gene would do, is go right back to the streets? What sense does that make? Surely the landscape of organized crime has changed enough that the old days are gone. The mob today is different than the 80's. Why in the hell they would put this guy through this garbage considering he just got home, and considering he's trying to live out the rest of his life in peace. It's just vile.
I see mob groups on every single social media platform posting stories and those photos and it just makes me fucking sick. Gene was an entity in the 1970's and 80's. I spoke with someone who would like to remain in the shadows, and this is what he told me.
"Genie was a tough guy, but we're talking 1980. He's been gone fucking 30 years, what the fuck do these people expect he's gonna do? He's never used a fucking cell phone before. He's never fucking googled. You mention a hipster and he'd ask what the fuck is that. It's like the press wants to indict him and he's been home two fucking days. It's revolting."
I spoke to Angel a little, I didn't want to pry, and she said she turned her phone off it was so bad. Look, even if you don't like the Gotti's or if you have adverse feelings towards Gene, the fact is, nobody should have to go through this. The Gotti's have been assailed for three decades. Some of it, deservedly so, but it's not 1980 anymore folks. It's time to move on, and let a family live out the rest of their days without this nonsense.
I do have a message for people posting this crap, and spewing all sorts of garbage. Your doing it for clicks, and for no other reason. You don't know the Gotti family, you certainly don't know Gene, and you have no clue what living in the prying eyes of the media is like. I wish before people would post crap and report crap they would consider the reaction of the family. You have zero respect for anything or anyone.
