MONTREAL MAFIA BODY COUNT CONTINUES TO RISE

It's been pretty crazy in Montreal in the last year. What has transpired over the last year is a massive amount of murders, in what's being called a "takeover," by the N'drangheta.  The once powerful Rizzuto crime family has all but been dismantled, and what we are seeing in Montreal in effect, is N'drangheta stepping in and taking over Organized Crime.

The latest in the bloodbath is the murder of Nicola Di Marco, 47, with ties to the Sicilian faction of organized crime in Montreal.  He was considered an upper echelon member, and was found shot to death in a parking lot of  housing project off galleries D' Anjou Blvd. He was a longtime associate of Mob Boss Giuseppe De Vito(who was poisoned with cyanide back in 2013).

He had just been released from prison a few months back and according to police was managing mob controlled gambling in the Saint-Leonard area of Montreal.
