KENNEDY ASSASSINATION OVERSHADOWS SHADY PAST

The 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy,  was killed in Dallas at 12:30 p.m, Friday November 12, 1963.  The world was stunned, and has since mourned the loss of what many say was the future of the United States.  What has a tendency to get lost in that tragic day, was that John F. Kennedy had a serious nefarious background. A lot of people talk about a Kennedy curse, but matter of factly it's not a curse, rather the company one keeps.

What also gets lost in the assassination, is that John F. Kennedy, was about as moral as former President Bill Clinton.  The difference was, Bill Clinton got caught lying, and people just seemed to ignore John F. Kennedy's extra marital flings, which were many.

This article is not to shame the Kennedy's, nor is it to to dive into conspiracy theories.  If you want to believe that Lee Harvey Oswald(former member of the CIA-proven) acted alone, then by all means please feel free.  If you want to believe that out Government didn't act in collusion with the Mafia to rid themselves of Kennedy you are also in that right.

The fact is, whether you accept it or not, is that John F. Kennedy had to go for a multitude of reasons, and when you start looking into the why's, the picture becomes pretty clear.  Those that claim the mob had nothing to do with the Kennedy assassination are blind.  These are the same ones that claimed for 40 years that the mob also didn't act in collusion with the CIA to kill Fidel Castro, then all of a sudden decades later we find out via the Freedom Of Information Act, and released FBI files, that in fact, the CIA did act as a brokership to have Fidel Castro killed by using the mafia.  Exploding cigars, poison, etc.   If we can accept that the CIA did act in collusion there, then how can we just simply say "no way, mob had zero involvement."  We simply can't. So we play devils advocate.

I could write entire books on this subject, but for the sake of time and energy we just have to look at a few things here. Just enough to make you think a bit.  We don't have to prove for 100% that the mafia was involved, we just have to give you reasonable plausibility.  That's all that's needed.  We are going to connect a few dots, and it's up to you to think long and hard about it.

We have to begin before John F. Kennedy though.  This really began with the patriarch Joseph Kennedy, whose wealth came from insider stock trading(then legal) then taking those profits and investing in real estate and other business ventures.(movie studios, Bethlehem Steel)  Another large portion of that wealth came directly from bootlegging.   Prior to prohibition Kennedy had a large company which was importing legal alcohol.  Once prohibition set in, Kennedy was able to really get a strangle hold on the illegal importation of alcohol, by bringing in illegal alcohol in the United States through Canada via Samuel Brofman.

Not long before prohibition ended Congressmen James Roosevelt II, formed a company called Somerset I
mporters, which acted as the agent for Haig & Haig Scotch, Gordon's Dry Gin, and Dewar's Scotch.  He stockpiled illegal liquor and when prohibition was repealed he sold the entirety of his stockpile for huge profits.  One thing worth mentioning here, is that the mob also had a strangle hold on bootlegging, and there was no way Joe Kennedy could act as his own entity without organize crime's involvement.  Kennedy was business partners with Frank Costello, Joe Bonanno and others.

Kennedy was also a Nazi sympathizer( and anti-semite), and on two occasions attempted to have personal meetings with Adolf Hitler.  It wasn't Kennedy's assertion that Adolf Hitler was bad, it was his assertion that giving economic aid and support to Great Britain defeated the purpose because "war doesn't solve democracy from National Socialism," simply that Britain was into a war for "self-preservation purposes."  He also claimed that "Jews brought this on themselves, which all led to Joe Kennedy not being trusted, and also being lambasted publicly, and as a result resigned as the Ambassador to Britain.  If Joe Kennedy, had aspirations to be President of the United States, those ideas died right there and then. If Joe Kennedy couldn't become President, then he would ensure his son would be.

Joe Kennedy then began to forge massive political alliances.  He concentrated on many of the Irish Catholic communities in Chicago, New York, Boston, Pittsburgh and New Jersey.  He forged a strong friendship with then Senator Joseph McCarthy. This of course was prior to McCarthy's power.  He would use McCarthy's power later on to help get his son John F. Kennedy elected to Congress for forging a deal where McCarthy would not give speeches for the GOP in Massachusetts, and in turn Kennedy would not make ani-McCarthy's speeches that the liberal support wanted to hear. Joe Kennedy would go on to use his business relationships, those of political figures, Senators, and mobsters and celebrities to help fund his son John F. Kennedy's bid for the Presidency.

Early on Joe Kennedy realized two things. The first was that the public's mistrust of him ruled out any sort of bid for himself, and while his son could be the face of a nation, given the right parameters while a long shot, could be done.  Perhaps the biggest sell, or the toughest hurdle was that the Kennedy's were Catholic.

There had never been a Catholic President ever.  We can argue those points, but in the end there was no way that Southern States could or would likely support a Catholic nominee, so Joe Kennedy had to not only appeal to those southern Senators, but he also had to ensure that heavily Irish states like Chicago, New York, and Boston swung in Kennedy's favor.  It would be easier in the Northeast, but difficult in the midwest and south due to the hatred of Catholics.  Enter the Chicago Outfit.

As stated before, the Kennedy's could count on the Irish to come out in droves, and while that was a large number of voters, it simply wasn't enough.  The Kennedy's needed a way to ensure victory.  Joe Kennedy had long been associated with the mafia going back decades and if somehow he could arrange a little swing state help in return for assurances, then that's exactly what he would do.  It's not to invalidate voters who actually voted for Kennedy, but believe me when I tell you that some of the things that happened during the Kennedy election were seriously sketchy.  Things like dead people voting, multiple votes per person, lines closed early, false numbers, etc.  I'm not saying Kennedy didn't win the election, I'm saying there is enough evidence to support that votes in these anti-catholic states were rigged.

Joe Kennedy needed an ear.  He needed to discuss matters of the election with the men who controlled the districts.  In those days, it was the mafia.  Joe Kennedy was intelligent enough not to have a direct line with organized crime, at least not publicly. He also knew that if he could attain popularity among the rich and famous, it was good for business.  Enter Frank Sinatra.

Frank Sinatra owed his career to the mafia in many forms.  Not only did guys like Skinny D'Amato help Sinatra's career, but they also were the ones who put the gun to the head of a bandleader and said Sinatra is released from his contract right? (Godfather used this storyline with "Johnny Fontaine.") So he owed them, they didn't owe him.   Kennedy knew that Sinatra was pals with Lucky Luciano, but more importantly Sam Giancana, who at the time was the head boss in the midwest(Chicago). As the story goes, Kennedy summoned Frank Sinatra(who had a thing for Kennedy women and power) to the Kennedy family compound.  Frank Sinatra at the same had been a lifelong democrat.  He wouldn't be after this debacle and would vote Republican the rest of his life, but that's a side note.

What Kennedy asked for wasn't impossible.  He appealed to Sinatra's ego.  Sinatra had long said had he not been a singer, he would have been a gangster.  It was in his blood, and was something he aspired to be just without actually having to physically become one.  Kennedy wanted Sinatra to be the go between himself and Giancana.  He wanted Chic
ago and those swing states to vote Kennedy at any cost, and if those votes came in for Kennedy, getting him elected, Joe in turn would ensure that the mafia was left alone to continue operating without interference.  Joe just didn't need states like West Virginia, he needed Louisana, Texas, and other southern types of states.  With Sinatra as an emissary and with Giancana on board, it could really become a reality.

Sinatra ends up forging the relationship between Joe Kennedy, Carlos Marcello(New Orleans mob boss) and Joe Kennedy.  Giancana is on board, as is Carlos Marcello.  Kennedy essentially made the mob an offer they couldn't refuse, FREE REIGN. Jimmy Hoffa was brought in on behalf of Russel Buffalino on behalf of Carlos Marcello, to ensure that pension funds were diverted to the Kennedy campaign and also that the unions owned by the mob and run by Hoffa voted for Kennedy.

Sinatra would gather the rest of Hollywood, stump for Kennedy, and would continue to raise money for his campaign non stop.  The day of the election, Kennedy wins.  Everyone celebrates.  The mob thinks they have just essentially bought a President, which in effect they had bought the Presidency, but not the President.

As John F. Kennedy is sworn in, times look great for everyone.  That is, until Bobby Kennedy is handed the keys to the car as U.S. Attorney General.  Whether Joe Kennedy knew or not, we will never know, but Bobby Kennedy began his assault on Organized Crime.  They essentially turned there backs on the the very people who got them into office.  John F. Kennedy had begged Bobby to lay off "our friends," but Bobby in perhaps of protection for his brother and his own desires to someday be President just wouldn't stop.  It began with an assault on all rackets.  Bobby went so far as to have Carlos Marcello kidnapped and dropped in the jungles of Guatemala, only for Marcello to find his way back into the United States, threatening to kill the entire Kennedy family.  Bobby then moved on to Jimmy Hoffa, and Sam Giancana.  He then began having Sinatra tailed and followed.

What incensed the mafia even further was that John F. Kennedy was bedding actresses.  Not only Marilyn Monroe, but Judith Campbell Exner who was the mistress of Sam Giancana.  Is was sloppy especially when you consider that John F. Kennedy was the President of the United States.  Bobby realized early on that John would be thrown out of office if anyone found out about his extramarital activities, and his alliances with organized crime figures.  It all started with one simple phone call.

Peter Lawford who was married at the time to Patricia Kennedy was told to let Sinatra know he was cut off from John F. Kennedy.  This after Sinatra had single handedly done Joe Kennedy's bidding. Not only did he connect those dots, but had personally gone out of his way to ensure Kennedy was accepted by Hollywood and raised millions of dollars for the Kennedy campaign.  In perhaps an effort to totally embarrass Sinatra, Bobby had John F. Kennedy stay at Bing Crosby's house who was a dire hard republican.  This after Sinatra had spent millions renovating his home so that Kennedy could stay there.  Bobby also likely severed that relationship because there was too much of a direct link to Sam Giancana.

Sinatra would never again vote for a democrat, and loathed the Kennedy's for the rest of his life.  The problem for Sinatra though, was that the mob was looking for someone to blame, and they blamed Sinatra for not having any more control over the situation. In reality though, Sinatra didn't have much choice.  He was publicly embarrassed and defeated.  The truth is, Bobby Kennedy
was spiteful and arrogant, and was fully able to get his brother to see the bigger picture.  You can't blame Bobby for wanting to protect his brother, if that were the case, but it wasn't.  Bobby wanted to ensure his run for President, and his extra marital flings with celebrities stayed very silent.  If Jack Kennedy was caught red handed how would this make Bobby look publicaly?

As we know, the mob was very upset with the Kennedy's.  The Kennedy's went after Hoffa, who in turn wanted the Kennedy's dead.  The entire mob felt betrayed, and you don't need anymore credible evidence than that.  The Kennedy's who at one time broke the law to make profits, used criminals to help them get into office were now trying to rid themselves of those "pests in fedor's."  I speculate that Joe Kennedy wasn't involved, but he ultimately had to know the price they would pay in the end.

It wasn't just the Cuban Missile
Crisis that the Government feared.  They feared Bobby Kennedy and his witch hunts.  They feared that Kennedy had too much influence and not even brains to do the job. It was never about Cuba folks.  It was about the fact that the mob had been betrayed, the CIA had been betrayed, and they weren't about to allow the Kennedy's to survive.  There was too much for everyone to lose.  It wasn't just about Kennedy's flings, or his ties to the mafia, it was the fact that the CIA saw early on that Kennedy could be controlled, but as long as Bobby was in the mix, that control they wanted was a moot point.

There is a lot of evidence to backup both sides of the argument of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.  The ends justified the means, that's what I believe.  The Government had no choice, something had to be done, and the mob had there own reasons.  A lone gunman theory is great to read, but it just doesn't support the facts.  We will never truly know, who single handedly participated on that day that changed America, but what can be said, is that John F. Kennedy (while tragic) was killed for many of the same reasons others are killed.  It's the company you keep, and the risks you are willing to take to get where you want at any cost necessary.  I'm not validating his death at all, I'm simply saying in the end karma always comes back around.  It did for Bobby.
